Recipes in Books, not Recipe Books

Have you ever been reading a book and the characters are cooking and it just sounds amazing? Like your mouth waters because you haven't eaten in hours since you can't put the book down for even a moment.

Fine.

Sometimes, I wish I had the recipes because I want to make that food too. Joanna Wylde includes some recipes in Reapers and Bastards, which I thought was a cute little addition.

In honor of the impending US holiday tomorrow: Thanksgiving. And my baking my butt off to serve way too many desserts for the eight of us that will be at my parents' house, what books have you read that feature cooking? What recipes did you wish you could get from those characters?
